Iko Uwais in Talks to Join G.I. Joe Snake Eyes

The Hollywood Reporter reported that the star of Wu Assassins, Iko Uwais, is in talks to join  Paramount’s G.I. Joe prequel, Snake Eyes. Henry Golding and Andre Koji have been cast as Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, respectively. Snake Eyes is scheduled to open in theaters October 16, 2020.


Jonathan Igla Joins Hawkeye Series

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Writer Jonathan Igla, known for his work on Mad Men, has been hired as showrunner for Disney+’s Hawkeye series. The series will star actor Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, who will train Kate Bishop, a comic book hero who eventually co-founds the Young Avengers. Hawkeye will premiere on Disney+ some time in Fall of 2021.


Matrix 4 Receives Working Title

Production Weekly has revealed more about the production of the fourth Matrix movie. It revealed that the Matrix movie will begin filming in February of 2020 under the working title of “Project Ice Cream.” There is no further news about the fourth Matrix movie at this time.


New Trailer for A24’s The Lighthouse

A24 released an official trailer for their upcoming movie The Lighthouse, starring Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson. In the trailer, Dafoe’s character, Thomas Wake, begins to explain how the last keeper of the Lighthouse went mad from a mysterious enchantment, which Pattinson’s character, Ephraim Winslow, brushes off as tall tales. The Lighthouse, the mystical dark comedy indie film, will be released on October 18th.
